    The Town of Saugeen Shores is advancing its commitment to addressing local housing needs as it prepares to launch new Ready-to-Build Housing Designs which were received by Council on June 16. The initiative is designed to streamline residential construction, increase housing options, and support affordability across the community. 

  • Mayor Charbonneau delegates authorities under new Strong Mayor Powers

    Following the Province of Ontario’s expansion of Strong Mayor Powers to municipalities including Saugeen Shores, Mayor Luke Charbonneau has issued his first three decisions under the new legislation. These decisions delegate specific authorities back to Council and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), reaffirming the Town’s commitment to collaborative governance. 

  • Winter Operations Plan Update

    The Town of Saugeen Shores is excited to announce that it continues to expand winter maintenance as a part of its newly updated Winter Operations Plan, last updated in 2020. The updated plan includes adjusting the number of sidewalks and roads receiving winter maintenance within the Town’s urban areas.

    The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce, in partnership with the Town of Saugeen Shores, invites the public to attend the 4th Annual Multicultural Day Celebration, a free, family-friendly event that brings the world to your doorstep through music, food, art, and cultural traditions.

  • Saugeen Shores Celebrates Pride Month

    The Town of Saugeen Shores proudly hosted a Pride Flag raising ceremony on May 30, 2025, at the municipal office to mark the beginning of Pride Month. The event brought together Saugeen Shores Council, Town Staff, and community members in a celebration of inclusivity and diversity. 

  • Saugeen Shores Expands Housing Support with Increased Subsidy

    The Town of Saugeen Shores continues to take important steps towards addressing housing affordability with a significant increase in its annual contribution to the Municipal Housing Allowance Program administered by Bruce County.
