The Town of Saugeen Shores has declared a Significant Weather Event due to observed and forecasted conditions, effective 8:00 a.m. on February 18, 2026, and continuing until further notice.
Special events organized by community groups and volunteers for the public make the Town of Saugeen Shores a rich and vibrant place to live, work and visit.

The following information will help you plan a special event for the public on municipally owned property in Saugeen Shores.
If you are planning an event that will be held on municipally owned property, please review the Special Event Application & Guidelines. It outlines all requirements, including the following:
Once you have read the application guidelines, please fill out a Special Events Application. Submit the application at least 60 days before the event.
If your event involves a parade, the special event application must include a map showing the route, as well as specific road closure times. Once the application is approved, staff will arrange road closures, including Highway 21, if necessary.
Please note that the closure of Highway 21 requires a minimum of 60 days notice.
