The Town of Saugeen Shores is excited to announce that it continues to expand winter maintenance as a part of its newly updated Winter Operations Plan, last updated in 2020. The Town of Saugeen Shores is initiating a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Study to plan for the water supply needs of the Southampton and Port Elgin urban areas. The Town of Saugeen Shores 2020 Master Plan identified the need for a Schedule “C” Class EA to review alternatives for expansion of the Saugeen Shores Water Treatment Plant (WTP) to meet the capacity needs for the existing community and anticipated development to the year 2053.

The Town of Saugeen Shores proudly hosted a Pride Flag raising ceremony on May 30, 2025, at the municipal office to mark the beginning of Pride Month. The event brought together Saugeen Shores Council, Town Staff, and community members in a celebration of inclusivity and diversity.
