Residents and visitors will notice some colourful new additions to the streetscape this summer as eight traffic control boxes across Saugeen Shores have been transformed into public art murals by three local artists. 

A section of Concession 10 between Hwy 21 and Waterloo Street will be closed Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from August 4 to August 31, 2026. Please use Waterloo St as a detour during work hours.

Residents interested in running for Municipal Council or School Board Trustee in the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections, must file their nomination papers with their local municipality by Friday, August 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

Please note the following municipal facilities will be closed on the Civic Holiday, Monday, August 3:

• Municipal Office
• The Plex
• Pryde Aquatic & Wellness Centre
• Southampton Landfill

The Town of Saugeen Shores is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) focused on examining alternatives for increasing available water storage within the Saugeen Shores Drinking Water System.

The Town of Saugeen Shores invites you to engage with us as we evaluate ways to Upgrade the Port Elgin Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) located at 123 Lehnen Street, Saugeen Shores, ON to manage peak wet weather flow received at the plant.

Beginning early August (August 4^th), the Contractor plans to mobilize to start the Richard Crescent Reconstruction Project.
