The Town of Saugeen Shores is updating its Transportation Master Plan to reflect growth and change that has occurred in the community since the municipality completed the current plan in 2020. A transportation master plan is one of several strategic policy documents that direct how a municipality will grow and develop over time.
The Town of Saugeen Shores is updating the 2020 Water and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan for the urban areas of Port Elgin and Southampton. Saugeen First Nation also receives water services from the Saugeen Shores Water System. The update will review existing water treatment, distribution, and storage infrastructure, and sanitary sewage collection and treatment infrastructure. It will also include a review of future growth forecasts and potential future water and wastewater demands to 2045, as it relates to key infrastructure. The Master Plan will serve as a strategic planning document recommending projects, outlining estimated timelines and triggers for implementation.
